Joyce Kapua‘ala Ka‘apuni was a freshman setter for the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team in 1973 and joined the U.S. National Team for two years. She returned to UH and led the Rainbow Wahine to a national runner-up finish in 1976 (AIAW) and back-to-back national titles in 1982 and ’83. She was also a three-time All-American.
