UH Sports Circle of Honor
Coached by June Jones, the 2007 Warrior football team recorded the program’s first modern era undefeated regular season, finishing with a 12-0 mark. The Warriors became just the third non-BCS team to be invited to a BCS bowl, appearing in the 2008 Sugar Bowl. The team captured its first outright WAC title and was ranked as high as No. 10 in the national polls. The Warriors were led by record-setting quarterback and Heisman Trophy finalist Colt Brennan and All-American receivers Davone Bess, Ryan Grice-Mullen, and Jason Rivers. Jones was selected WAC Coach of the Year and Brennan was WAC Offensive Player of the Year.
