The University of Hawai'i Athletics Department has introduced
Rooftop Pāʻina, a new, elevated pregame celebration designed to give Rainbow Warrior football fans a true college game-day atmosphere. Replacing the previous Pāʻina on the Path, this centralized gathering space was created in response to fan feedback asking for pre-game festivities closer to the stadium. It provides a comfortable, weather-protected environment with unmatched views of the field, Diamond Head, and the surrounding Mānoa valley.
The
FREE event takes place on the
fifth floor of the Zone 20 parking structure directly adjacent to the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex. Festivities kick off
three hours prior to every home game and wrap up 30 minutes before kickoff (note that while entry is free, a parking pass is required to park your vehicle in the structure). To build the excitement, the football team will be dropped off at Dole Street roughly 2.5 hours before the game and walk directly through the rooftop, giving fans the perfect opportunity to line up and cheer them on as they head to the stadium.
Rooftop Pā'ina includes:
- Live Entertainment: Fans can enjoy the Hawai'i's Finest concert series playing all season long.
- Local Vendors: A family-friendly environment where attendees can say "aloha" to local vendors and enjoy the pregame festival.
- Beer Garden: Unwind in the beer garden equipped with television monitors, allowing fans to catch college football games from across the country.
