UH Sports Circle of Honor
Anthony Carter was a two-time honorable mention All-American and the school's first WAC Player of the Year in 1997. He led the Rainbows to consecutive 21-win seasons and National Invitation Tournament appearances and a WAC regular season title in 1997. Over his career, he scored 1,070 points and averaged 18.9 points per game, second highest in school history. His 6.9 assists per game career average was a new school record. He later took his talents to the NBA where he enjoyed a decade-long career mostly with the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets.
