UH Sports Circle of Honor
Longtime television analyst Chris McLachlin announced over 1,000 UH men’s and women’s volleyball broadcasts during a four-decade career that began in 1982. He worked alongside legendary play-by-play announcer Jim Leahey at KHNL and KFVE-TV for nearly 30 years and covered multiple national championship teams. A longtime coach, he provided guidance in team building and sports psychology for numerous UH teams and student-athletes. He spent 37 years as a coach, administrator, counselor, and teacher at Punahou School, where he led the boys volleyball team to 11 state titles and the boys basketball team to three titles.
