UH Sports Circle of Honor
Jeanne Childs, who swam for UH from 1981-83, set new national records for the breaststroke. In 1983, she was named NCAA All-America having placed first in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. She later went on to break the American record in the 200-meter breaststroke at the U.S. trials for the World Swimming Championships.
