The most celebrated player in program history, Colt Brennan broke or tied 31 NCAA records upon completion of a three-year career. In 2007, he led UH to an undefeated regular season and an appearance in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. He finished third that year in the Heisman Trophy voting; was a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Award; and was named third-team Associated Press All-American. The two-time WAC?Offensive Player of the Year (2006 and '07), captured the Sammy Baugh Award in 2006 while leading the nation in total offense, touchdown passes, passing efficiency, points responsible for, completion percentage, passing yards, and passing yards per game.
