General

2023-24 Season In Review

Starting in the fall and rolling into the spring, championship celebrations resounded through a record-breaking 2023-24 University of Hawai‘i athletics calendar.

Six Rainbow Wahine and Rainbow Warrior teams captured conference titles, marking the highest single-year total in the department’s history. Women’s volleyball reasserted its claim as the Big West’s preeminent program in the fall, and the winter featured women’s basketball earning a trophy for the third straight year and a title sweep for the swimming-and-diving programs. A return to the Big West beach volleyball summit and a historic water polo campaign punctuated by a berth among the NCAA’s final four highlighted the spring.

The title surge was reflected in five conference coach of the year awards. A total of 28 individual conference titles contributed to collective success as each of the department’s 21 programs delivered exhilarating moments and enduring memories over nine months of competition.

UH student-athletes continued to excel in the classroom as well. A total of 145 current and former student-athletes celebrated the completion of their degree work over the fall and spring semesters as the ’Bows stacked conference, district and national academic honors.
