Men's Swimming & Diving 05.20.2024 2023-24 Men's Swimming and Diving Season Review SEASON HIGHLIGHTS Swept the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s team championships for the first time since 2020. The Rainbow Warriors captured 12 event titles at the MPSF Championships, including all five relays and all three diving events. UH broke the meet record with each relay victory. Michael Stephens was named MPSF men’s and women’s Swim Coach of the Year and Brandon Blaisdell earned the men’s and women’s MPSF Dive Coach of the Year awards. Stephens repeated as MPSF women's Coach of the Year and picked up his first men's award. Blaisdell won the diving awards for the first time. UH senior Mackaby Pennington was selected as the MPSF Men's Diver of the Year. UH captured all six individual diving titles in the MPSF Championship meet for the first time since 2019. Juan Gonzalez (3-meter, platform) and Mackaby Pennington (1-meter) went 1-2 on all three boards and UH swept the titles for the fifth time since 2007 and the first time since 2019. The men’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Karol Ostrowski , Jakub Ksiazek, Jordan Meacham and Grant Stoddard qualified for the NCAA Championships in Indianapolis. The ’Bows qualified in the 200 free relay for the first time since 2000 and set the school record in the event with a time of 1 minute, 16.23 seconds, placing 17th in the field of 25 schools. A total of 16 members of the UH men's team accounted for 51 All-MPSF honors with 10 receiving at least one first-team honor. Fifth-year swimmer Justin Lisoway was named to the Men's Swimming and Diving Academic All-America third team, becoming the program's first honoree in 20 years.
