Impending Storm Forces Cancellations and Rescheduling of UH Athletic Events

HONOLULU – Due to an impending storm system expected to impact the islands, the University of Hawai'i Athletics Department has announced several schedule changes and cancellations for athletic events originally scheduled for this weekend due to the closure of the UH Mānoa campus.
 
Men's Volleyball: 30th OUTRIGGER Invitational
Friday's second-day matchups of the OUTRIGGER Invitational at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center have been cancelled.
 
In addition, at this time, the highly anticipated match between No. 3 Hawai'i and No. 1 UCLA—which is currently sold out—remains on the schedule for Saturday, March 14, at 7:00 p.m., preceded by Lewis and Mount Olive at 4:00 p.m. A final determination will be made as weather conditions are monitored. Stay tuned for further information.
 
Single-game tickets for Friday's matches can be exchanged at the Stan Sheriff Center Ticket Office for another regular season home match or a refund. Note: Season ticket holders and tickets purchased from third-party websites are not eligible for individual game refunds or exchanges.
 
Softball: Big West Series vs. Cal State Fullerton
The Rainbow Wahine softball's three-game series against Cal State Fullerton have also changed.
  • The teams will attempt to play a single game on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.
  • Friday's originally scheduled doubleheader will be postponed to Sunday, March 15, weather permitting. Game times are 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
 
Women's Volleyball: Kaua'i Trip Cancelled
The Rainbow Wahine volleyball team's planned trip to Kaua'i on Saturday for an open practice and keiki clinic has been cancelled. The program expresses its regrets to the fans and young athletes on the Garden Isle and hopes to reschedule this community event at a later date.
