2021 HAWAI'I BEACH VOLLEYBALL

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• Completed its first season under head coach Angelica Ljungqvist with a 17-10 overall record.

• Finished the season ranked 13th in the final AVCA poll. The BeachBows have been ranked every single week since the poll's inception in 2013, a string of 77 straight appearances

• Captured the Husky Invitational in Seattle, Wash., with a perfect 5-0 mark. 

• Advanced to the title match of the Big West Tournament for the fifth straight time.

• Had four different pairs earn all-Big West honors, including a trio of pairs on the first team.

• Amber Igiede became the fifth straight BeachBows to earn conference Freshman of the Year honors.

• Igiede and partner Brooke Van Sickle were among those named all-conference after winning 13 of their final 14 matches of the season. 

THE RETURN TO CHING COMPLEX

The BeachBows played their first on-campus matches in nearly two years when they hosted Long Beach State at the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex in early April.
