SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• Finished the 2023 season with a 5-8-3 record overall and 4-5-1 in Big West play

• Qualified for the Big West Championship for the second time since joining the conference in 2012 and the first time since 2019

• Finished second in the Big West with 1.688 goals per game
 

• Four players received All-Big West honors — Amber Gilbert (first team), Eliza Ammendolia (second team), Jacey Jicha (second team), Izzy Ayala (All-Freshman team)
 

• Amber Gilbert led the team with seven goals and ranked second in the Big West with .438 goals per game
 

• Eliza Ammendolia became the first UH player to earn all-conference honors four times in a career since Natasha Kai made the All-Western Athletic Conference team in 2002- ’05
 

• Jacey Jicha made the All-Big West second team for the second straight year

• Mia Foster finished second on the team with six goals and went 4-for-4 on penalty kicks

• Cate Sheahan scored three goals and led the team with five assists

• Six players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team — Sophie Augustin, Amber Gilbert, Jacey Jicha, Brynn Mitchell, Zoe Park and Cate Sheahan

• A total of 14 players earned Academic All-Big West honors

The Rainbow Wahine had numerous jaw-dropping goals in their five wins throughout the season.

MAHALO SENIORS

Hawai'i celebrated a special group of seniors on Oct. 22 following its final home match vs. Cal Poly. The UH senior class included Nohara Takayama, Maya Gonzalez, Kelci Sumida and Eliza Ammendolia.
