2007 (Senior): Played in 11 games as reserve defensive back and kick returner on special teams…returned 6 kickoffs for 21.0 average…recorded an interception and a blocked kick versus Northern Colorado (Sept. 1)…season-high 27-yard return at Nevada (Nov. 16).

2006 (Junior): Played sparingly in the UNLV (Sept. 16) and Eastern Illinois (Sept. 30) games.

Prior to UH: Attended Compton City College in California and started all 10 games at cornerback in 2005...recorded one interception, three forced fumbles and 32 tackles...attended Long Beach City College in 2004 and played in two games.

Prep: A 2004 graduate of Narbonne High School in Harbor City, Calif...lettered in football and track...2004 Rivals.com considered him among the top 100 High school players in California...Super Prep recognized him as the 69th best prospect in the states of Arizona, California, Hawai`i, Nevada, Oregon and Washington...a 2003 A.P. Super Prep and Prep Star High School All-American (wide receiver)...a 2003-04 California All-State first team nominee...a 2003-04 first team All-Marine League...a South Bay all-area and all-star first team on both offense and defense...a member of the 2002-03 Los Angeles City Invitational Championship team...caught 27 passes for 728 yards with eight touchdowns...accumulated 76 tackles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries...kicked a 41-yard field goal and was perfect on extra points as a kicker and punter...honored with the student-athlete award...belonged to Jack and Jill of America Teen organization along with the Los Angeles Chapter of young black scholars.

Personal: Born in Inglewood, Calif...plans to major in sports medicine...cousin is former Denver Nugget Jeff Trepagnier...has two brothers and one sister...parents are Peggy Ferrel of Carson, Calif., and Keith Jones of Northridge, Calif.
