Biography

2008 (Senior): Appeared in all 14 games…started two games at safety (at Utah State, vs. Washington State) and one at cornerback (vs. Notre Dame)…also a regular on kick coverage… recorded 39 tackles, one pass breakup, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble…second on the team with three interceptions…returned first interception of the season 24 yards versus Louisiana Tech (Oct. 11)…also added four tackles and pass breakup in win over Bulldogs…three tackles, one interception and a forced fumble in win over Idaho (Nov. 22)…season-high five tackles and an interception versus nationally ranked Cincinnati (Dec. 6)…also had five tackles in season finale versus Notre Dame in the Sheraton Hawai‘i Bowl (Dec. 24).

2007 (Junior): Played in all 13 games...made seven starts, including last five games at free safety...ranked fourth on the team with 56 tackles...also had 2.5 tackles-for-loss and four pass breakups...lone interceptions was against Charleston Southern (Sept. 22)...recorded six or more tackles in four games....season-high 11 tackles at Nevada (Nov. 16).

2006 (Sophomore): Played in all 14 games, seeing action in the defensive backfield and on special teams...recorded a pair of solo tackles versus UNLV (Sept. 16) and Louisiana Tech (Nov. 11)...blocked an extra-point attempt against the Rebels.

2005 (Freshman): Saw action against Utah State (Nov. 12) game and did not record any statistics.

2004: Redshirted.

Prep: A 2004 graduate of Vallejo High School in California...earned two varsity letters in football...played both safety and wide receiver...had 39 catches for 740 yards and five touchdowns, and recorded 118 tackles, eight interceptions and 20 knockdowns as a senior...a two-time first-team all-league and all-region pick...named team captain and the team's defensive player of the year as a senior...named team's MVP as a junior...heralded as one of the top receivers on the west coast by Student Sports...runs a 4.5 40-yard dash...also played four seasons of varsity basketball...member of the Debutants Club...a four-year honor-roll student.
