Biography

2008 (Senior): Played in 13 games with 12 starts at safety…missed only game of the season versus Washington State (Nov. 29)…finished with 51 tackles, 5.0 tackles-for-loss, one sack, one interception, two pass breakups and one quarterback hurry… had a season-high seven tackles against Weber State, including 1.5 tackles-for-loss and one sack (Sept. 6)…returned only interception of the year 32 yards against New Mexico State (Nov. 8).

2007 (Junior): Appeared in nine games as a backup safety...accumulated 13 total tackles...season-high seven tackles in regular-season finale against Washington (Dec. 1)...had three tackles versus Georgia in Sugar Bowl (Jan. 1).


Prior To UH: Attended Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas, for two years...a two-time preseason JC All-America pick...led all defensive backs in the nation with 115 total tackles in 2006...also had two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries (including a 60-yd touchdown return) and two interceptions...an all-conference selection in 2006.

Prep: A 2004 graduate of South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas...a two-year starter at defensive back...recorded 180 tackles during his career...also played running back, rushing for 600 yards as a senior... named second-team all-district as a senior...earned one varsity letter in track, competing in the 100-meter dash.
