Biography

2009 (Senior): Appeared in eight games on primarily on special teams…also was a backup running back and rushed four times for 17 yards…returned one kickoff for 20 yards at San Jose State (Nov. 21).

2008 (Junior): Played in all 14 games...part of kickoff coverage unit and also saw time as back-up running back...carried the ball 21 times for 91 yards...career-high nine carries for 54 yards, including a 19-yard scamper in win against Weber State (Sept. 6)...recorded four tackles on special teams...also had two fumble recoveries...recovered a fumble in road win at nationally ranked Fresno State (Oct. 4)...also returned a fumble for 11 yards in regular-season finale against nationally ranked Cincinnati (Dec. 6).

2007 (Sophomore): Member of the scout team and played on special teams.

2006 (Freshman): Member of the scout team...recipient of the Special Teams Player award.

2005: Redshirted.

Prep: A 2005 graduate of Kamehameha Schools on O‘ahu...earned three letters in football and two in baseball...was all-state and all-league...garnered the state and league’s Offensive Player of the Year honors...led team to the state title in 2005.

Personal: Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu...majoring in civil engineering... has one brother and one sister...parents are Evelyn and Jayson Rego Sr., of Wailuku, Maui.
