Biography

2001 (Senior): A walk-on who turned into a two-year starer...started all 12 games at strong safety...compiled seven games in double digit tackles...finished third in the WAC and first among WAC safeties in tackles per game (9.9)...recovered a fumble against UTEP on Oct. 13 that led to a touchdown...finished second on the team in tackles (119)...forced a fumble that led to a field goal against Fresno State on Oct. 26...finished his last six games with at least 10 tackles.

2000 (Junior): Played in all 12 games, started 11 at safety…named second-team all-WAC…also named to the Warrior Club…led the WAC in tackles per game for most of the season, but finished fourth (10.1) due to sitting out most of the last game against UNLV due to injury…led the team in total tackles (126) and pass break ups (11)…finished second on the team in interceptions (4)…intercepted his first collegiate pass at UTEP on Sept. 23…tied a school record with three interceptions against Louisiana Tech on Nov. 18…finished seven games with double-digit tackles…recorded a career-high 16 tackles at Fresno State on Nov. 4.

1999 (Sophomore): Played in five games at safety…finished with 16 tackles and two quarterback hurries…amassed a season-high nine tackles against Eastern Illinois…missed the last seven games with a hamstring injury.

1998: Redshirted.

Prep: A 1997 graduate of Kalaheo High in Kailua, Oahu…earned three letters in football, four in soccer, two in baseball and one in track…named all-OIA in football and baseball, and all-state in soccer…member of the 4x100 meter relay team, which finished second in the state...soccer team won OIA championship in 1994 and 1996...graduated cum laude...member of the Yearbook Club.
