2001: Played in nine games at "buck" linebacker, started eight...hampered for a few games with a leg injury...a second-team all-WAC selection...finished fourth in the WAC in tackles per game (9.6)...led the team in sacks with five (-20)...co-led the Warriors with 11 tackles-for-loss (-31)...named WAC Defensive Player of the Week Oct. 20...finished fourth on the team in tackles (86)..tied his career-high 15 tackles twice, against Montana on Sept. 8, and at Tulsa on Oct. 20...recorded five games in double-digit tackles..forced three fumbles, two against Brigham Young on Dec. 8 and one at Tulsa on Oct. 20....also had four quarterback hurries and three passes defended.

2000: Played in all 12 games, started five at middle linebacker...led the team and finished tied for eighth in the WAC in tackles-for-loss (10-42)...co-led the team in sacks (4-27)...finished third among linebackers in tackles (74)...led all linebackers in pass break ups (5)...finished three games with double-digit tackles...recorded a career-high 15 tackles against SMU on Oct. 14...also had three sacks (-18) against SMU on Oct. 14...named WAC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 16...also had two forced fumbles, one against SMU on Oct. 14 and another at Rice on Oct. 21.

Prep: A 1999 graduate of Vista High School in California...earned three letters in football...was the Palomar League, San Diego County, and CIF Defensive Player-of-the-Year for 1998...a three-time all-league, all-state and all-CIF player while also garnering All-American status his senior season...his 1996, '97, and '98 Panther football teams won the Palomar League and CIF titles...head coach was Steve Silberman...Sporting News and Bob Griese's College Football Yearbook picked him as one of the Top 100 players in the country...Sporting News also rated him as the Top 25 prospects in the West...defensively, recorded 75 tackles (12 for loss), six sacks, and three fumble recoveries (one for a TD) his senior season...offensively, rushed for 1,600 yards and 23 touchdowns...first player ever in San Diego County history to make CIF first team on both offense and defense.

Personal: Born in San Diego, Calif...chose Hawai'i over Colorado, San Diego State, Fresno State, Arizona, and Texas...has two brothers and a nephew...parents are Ruta Aunese-Tinoisamoa of Vista, Calif., and Autasia Tinoisamoa of Olosega, Manu'a.
