Biography

2001: Played in all 12 games at running back...started three...led all rushers with nine touchdowns...second on the team in rushing with 73 attempts for 378 yards...finished fourth on the team in scoring (56 points)...also caught 12 passes for 117 yards...rushed for a career-high 116 yards and two touchdowns at SMU on Oct. 6...recorded three multiple touchdown games...also returned two kicks for 33 yards.

2000: Played in eight games…saw his first action at running back against San Jose State on Oct. 28 when he rushed for a career-high 43 yards and one touchdown on six carries…also rushed three times for 36 yards and a score against Nevada on Nov. 11…scored his first collegiate touchdown on a 10-yard scamper against San Jose State on Oct. 28...also caught two passes for 13 yards against the Spartans.

1999: A member of the scout team.

1998: Redshirted.

Prep: A 1998 graduate of Bothell High School in Bothell, Wash…earned three letters in football and two in track…a second team all-KINGCO selection in football…played under head coach Dan Bunten.

Personal: Born in Woodbridge, Va…also recruited by Washington, Washington State, and Eastern Washington…has one older sister…parents are Gloria and Thero Mitchell, Sr. of Bothell, Wash.
