2001: Switched from defensive end to linebacker during the spring...started all 12 games at "mack" linebacker...a first-team all-WAC honoree...led the team in tackles (124) and forced fumbles (4)...tied for second in sacks with four (-42)...finished second in the WAC averaging 10.3 tackles per game...also led the WAC in forced fumbles (4)...recorded seven games in double digit tackles...compiled a career-high 19 tackles against Air Force on Nov. 24...forced a fumble that led to a touchdown against Air Force on Nov. 24. 

2000: Started all 12 games at defensive end, the first two on the left and the next 10 on the right...named honorable mention all-WAC...led all defensive linemen with 45 tackles, including five for-a-loss (-19)...tied for first on the team in sacks with four (-18)...tied for third on the team in PBUs...forced a fumble against UTEP on Sept. 23...recovered two fumbles, one against Nevada on Nov. 11 and another that led to a touchdown against SMU on Oct. 14...amassed a career-high eight tackles against Tulsa on Sept. 30.

1999: Played in 10 games at defensive end...finished the season with eight tackles, two for-a-loss...had his first and only sack at SMU to help the Warriors secure their first WAC road win in seven years.
 

1998: Redshirted. 

Prep: A 1998 graduate of Damien Memorial High School in Honolulu...earned four letters in track and three in football...coached in football by Mel Andres...a three-time all-ILH all-star...team's defensive player-of-the-year and Most Inspirational...a participant in the East-West All-Star Game...school's track and field event player-of-the-year...a member of the honor roll. 

Personal: Born in Honolulu...related to Chad Rowan, better known as Akebono, a retired Yokozuna sumo wrestler...parents are Cynthia and Chris Brown, Sr.
