2013 (Junior): Placed 17
th in the pentathlon at the MPSF Indoor Championships with a total score of 3,094 points…during the outdoor season, competed in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles, long jump, and javelin…seasonal-best marks of 14.87 seconds in the 100-hurdles at the Stanford Invitational and 1:07.51 at the Trojan Invitational…also threw the javelin 42-5 (12.92m) at the Trojan Invitational.
Prior To UH: Attended Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Calif., for two years…member of the track and field team and competed in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles, 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays and high jump…team placed sixth at the state championships in 2012…individually, placed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles at the state meet in 2011 and was fifth in 2012…recorded Top 10 performances in five school events and received the school’s women’s track athlete of the year award both years.
Prep: A 2010 graduate of Trabuco Hills High School in Mission Viejo, Calif…lettered four times in track and field…team captured three Sea View League championships (2008-10) and was Orange County champions in 2010…two-time first-team all-league, all-county, and all-state honors in the 100-meter hurdles and 4x100-meter relay during junior and senior years…also served as team captain and earned the Victory with Honor award as a senior…earned team’s Most Valuable Runner award as a junior, Most Improved Award as a sophomore, and Best Newcomer Award as a freshman…ran anchor leg of school-record setting 4x100-meter relay team (46.82) in 2010, which set an Orange County record and ranked fifth in the state…also in 2010, 4x100 relay team competed in the Nike Nationals, where she ran the anchor and team placed seventh overall.
Personal: Born in Long Beach, Calif…intends to major in sociology…is an avid surfer who competed in junior National Scholastic Surfing Association for four years in southern California…parents are Steven and Norma Wicker of Dana Point, Calif.
