Biography

2013 (Senior): Placed 10th in the pole vault competition at the Big West Conference Championships with a clearance of 11-5.75 (3.50m)…smashed her personal best with a jump of 12-9.5 (3.90m) to win the Sunrise Meet #5, a mark that ranks fourth all-time in school history…placed fifth at the Bryan Clay Invitational with a mark of 12-2.75 (3.73m)…took 15th at the MPSF Indoor Championships with an indoor best 12-5.25 (3.79m), which ranks sixth in school history...named to the Big West Academic all-conference team.

2012 (Junior): Won the bronze medal in the pole vault at the WAC Indoor Championship posting a personal-best mark of 12-2.75 (3.73m), which ranks sixth all-time in the school’s indoor history…placed fifth at the WAC Outdoor after clearing 12-2.25 (3.41m)…named academic all-WAC.

Prior To UH: Attended Kapi‘olani Community College in Honolulu, O‘ahu.

Prep: A 2008 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, O‘ahu…lettered three years in cheerleading and once in track and field…won bronze medal at the 2008 state championships in the pole vault…OIA champion in the pole vault in 2008…earned MVP Cheerleading Award in 2007-08.

Personal: Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu…intends to major in elementary education…excelled in gymnastics as a youth…has one brother…parents are Guy and Sharon Kohashi of Honolulu, O‘ahu.
