Biography

2008 (Senior): Played in 13 games with 12 starts at defensive tackle…missed only game of the season at Utah State (Nov. 1)…recorded 36 tackles, 8.0 tackles-for-loss, 2.5 sacks, two pass breakups, two quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery…season-high eight tackles in win over Weber State…recorded 3.0 tackles-for-loss against the Wildcats…five tackles in win over Idaho, including 3.0 tackles-for-loss and 2.0 sacks…recovered a fumble in win over Washington State (Nov. 29).

2007 (Junior): Appeared in all 13 games at defensive end...totaled 12 tackles and had 2.5 sacks...career-high three tackles against Charleston Southern (Sept. 22) and Utah State (Oct. 6)...led the team with three fumbles recovered...had three quarterback hurries and one blocked kick.

Prior To UH: Attended Sierra College in Rockland, Calif., for two years...recorded 33 sacks in two seasons at Sierra...a two-time all-conference selection...named Junior College first-team All-America and Grid-Wire third-team All-America in 2006...notched 17 sacks and named the league’s defensive MVP in 2006...led Sierra to back-to-back bowl appearances.

Prep: A 2005 graduate of Center High School in Elverta, Calif...a two-year starter at defensive end and offensive tackle...tallied 275 tackles and 35 sacks in two years...led team to back-to-back playoff appearances...twice named first team all-league...team and league defensive MVP, as well as an first team all-city pick as a senior...also earned three varsity letters in wrestling...ranked statewide and second in the city in the heavyweight division as a junior.
