Biography

2009 (Junior): Appeared in all 13 games, making 11 starts at “Z” receiver and as the team’s starting kickoff returner…caught 33 passes for 445 yards and four touchdowns…led the team with 37 kickoff returns for a 24.8 average, which ranked fifth in the WAC and 47th nationally…averaged 13.5 yards per catch…ranked seventh in the WAC in all-purpose yardage (104.6)…team-high two touchdown receptions at Nevada (Oct. 31) where he had a career-high six receptions for 109 yards…career-long 55-yard kickoff return against Navy (Nov. 28)…had 12 kickoff returns of 25-plus yards…career-long 71-yard touchdown pass from Bryant Moniz at Nevada (Oct. 31).

2008: Played in first three games of the season...returned nine kicks for 134 yards....had two catches for 38 yards, including a 26-yard reception at Florida (Aug. 30)...also returned three kickoff returns for 57 yards against the Gators...starting kick returner versus Weber State (Sept. 6) and at Oregon State (Sept. 13)...returned five kicks for 57 yards at Oregon State...did not play the rest of the season...earned a medical hardship.

Prior To UH: Attended L.A. Southwest College for two seasons...lettered in both football and track...ranked eighth in the Western State Conference, averaging 117.2 all-purpose yards per game...returned 21 kickoffs for 613 yards and two touchdowns (29.2 avg.), which ranked 11th in the state...had 89- and 87-yard kickoff returns for touchdowns against San Bernardino Valley...also had 33 receptions for 499 yards receiving and three touchdowns...won the 100-meter state championship in 2007...made the Dean’s List both years.

Prep: A 2005 graduate of Locke High School in Los Angeles, Calif...earned three varsity letters in football...as a senior, accumulated 1,705 all-purpose yards...rushed for 1,100 yards and 13 touchdowns, while averaging more than eight yards per carry....named all-CIF and all-city, as well as team MVP in 2004...won the 100-meter city championship as a senior.

Personal: Born in Los Angeles, Calif...majoring in sociology...has three older brothers...parents are Mattie and David Taylor of Inglewood, Calif.
