Biography

2008 (Senior): Played in all 14 games with eight starts at cornerback…led all defensive backs with 66 total tackles, including 45 solo…picked off two passes on the season…also added 2.5 TLFs, 1.5 sacks, three PBUs, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery… made first interception of the year at Utah State (Oct. 1)…also added eight tackles vs. the Aggies…returned second interception of the season 29 yards in a home win versus Idaho (Nov. 22)…seven tackles and a forced fumble at No. 15 Boise State (Oct. 17)…season-high nine tackles at Oregon State (Sept. 13).

2007 (Junior): Sat out due to NCAA transfer rules

Prior To UH: Played one season at the University of Oregon...appeared in 11 games for the Ducks during the 2006 season, registering nine tackles...prior to Oregon, played two seasons (2004-05) at Butte College in Oroville, Calif...two-year captain and all-conference selection, while playing both cornerback and safety...named to the California Community College Football Coaches Association first-team all-Region I team as a sophomore, after accumulating six interceptions and one touchdown in nine games... also a track & field standout at the junior college level... eclipsed a 25-year-old record at the 2005 California Community College Track & Field Championships with a time of 48.02 in the 400-meters.

Prep: A 2003 graduate of Mt. Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Wash... earned two letters each in football and basketball.

Personal: Born in Tacoma Wash...a sociology major...has a daughter, Jalaina...has three bothers and three sisters...parents are Wendy Bennett and Richard Dowling...raised by his grandmother, Kathleen Ordonez, of Tacoma, Wash.
