2001 (Redshirted) : Earned a medical hardship after never fully recovering from a severely sprained ankle…sprained his ankle in the TCU game March 18…pitched in only seven games…lost his only two starts of the season against Sacramento State and UCLA…in two starts, he was 0-2 with a 15.75 ERA compared to his 0-0 mark and 6.75 ERA in five relief outings…was 0-0 with a 10.80 ERA in four short WAC relief appearances…opponents hit .432 against him (LH=.467, RH=.414).
2000 (Junior): Posted a 4.93 ERA in 16 showings and three starts…first career start came against Winthrop (Mar. 28) in the Easter Tournament picking up the no-decision tossing 5.2 innings with four strikeouts…other two starts were against Lewis-Clark State (Apr. 2), and
1999 (Sophomore): Did not record a decision in 15 relief outings…posted a 5.09 ERA in 17.2 innings of work while striking out seven and walking seven…in WAC play, he made nine appearances with a 6.55 ERA…pitched in six non-WAC games and owned a 2.70 ERA…of the first batters he faced, he retired 67 percent of them…had only two defensive chances and did not make an error…appeared in five games through the months of January and February and did not allow an earned run in his short stints…overall, opponents hit .311 against him (LH=.286; RH=.326).
1998 (Freshman): Appeared in 13 games overall…in WAC play, he made 10 showings posting a 9.20 ERA in 14.2 innings of work…longest outing was on May 10 against San Jose State going 3.2 innings scattering three hits and striking out four.
Prep: A 1997 graduate of Carson High School in Carson City, Nev…earned three letters in baseball…was a two-time all-state selection…coached by Ron McNutt…was a member of the Pride of America World Series championship team in 1996…a member of the honor roll for four years.
