Biography

2009-2010 (Senior): Recorded two personal bests at the Conference USA Championships (Feb. 24-27) taking fifth in the 100 backstroke (50.39) and sixth in the 100 butterfly (49.55)…also placed seventh in the 200 fly (1:50.32)…took sixth in the 200 fly at the Toshiba Classic (Nov. 20) for a personal best of 1:49.98…also finished fifth in the 100 fly (49.59)...took second against Stanford (Oct. 10) in the 200 fly (1:53.46). 
 2008-09 (Junior): Participated in the Big West Shootout (Nov. 7-8) and placed fourth in the 200 butterfly (1:53.60) and 12th in the 200 backstroke (2:02.13).

Prep: A 2006 graduate of Sir Francis Drake in San Anselmo, Calif...lettered four years in both swimming and water polo...earned All-America honors in swimming...named second team all-league in water polo...team won the 2005 league championship in swimming.

Personal: Born in San Anselmo, Calif...plans to major in animal science...has one older brother...parents are Caroline and Brandon Birich in Tiburon, Calif.
