Biography

2011-12 (Senior): Holds the team’s top time in the 200 freestyle (1:40.15)…swam three events at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 15-17)…finished sixth in the 500 freestyle (4:29.16) and earned season-bests in the 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke (1:40.15)…saw action in all meets. 

2010-11 (Junior): Took four first-place finishes in the 400 freestyle…helped lead the Warriors to their first Conference USA Invitational championship title (Feb. 23-26)…swam the final leg for the team that won the 800 freestyle relay…finished third in the 500 freestyle (4:27.26)…earned two personal bests after taking fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:39.19) and sixth in the 200 backstroke (1:52.97)…broke the pool record at UC San Diego at a tri-meet against UCSD and Wyoming (Jan. 28-29) in the 500 freestyle after winning with a time of 4:33.17…earned a personal best in the 500 freestyle (4:26.85) at the Arena Invitational (Nov. 18-20) and holds the team’s top time in the event.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Earned two personal bests at the Conference USA Championships (Feb. 24-27) taking first in the 500 freestyle (4:21.62) and third in the 1650 free (15:40.53)…also finished fourth in the 200 free (1:38.86) and was a part of the team that finished second in the 800 free relay (6:33.00)…took first in the 500 free (4:35.13) and second in the 200 free (1:41.07) against Wisconsin (Jan. 9)…earned a personal best after taking second in the 200 free (1:37.89) at the Toshiba Classic (Nov. 19-21)…swam against Stanford (Oct. 10) and placed second in the 500 free (4:32.85) and third in the 1000 free (9:30.48)…took first in both the 1000 free (9:32.93) and 500 free (4:35.26) against California (Oct. 9).

Prior to UH: Lettered one year swimming at Loughborough University.
Prep: A 2007 graduate of Millfield School in the United Kingdom…southwest state champion 2002-08…national champion 2004-07…biathlon national and state champion 2002…team captain of swim team 2006-07…holds British junior records both in 200m freestyle and 400m freestyle.
Personal: Born in Canterbury, United Kingdom… has two siblings…parents are Elaine and Trevor Clarke of Bridgewater, Somerset, United Kingdom.
