Biography

2004 (Junior): Staff ace for much of the season, making 20 appearances with 16 starts...named first-team all-Western Athletic Conference...was the WAC Pitcher of the Week twice (2/16 and 5/3)...finished with a record of 8-4 and an ERA of 3.60...had 72 strikeouts and just 12 walks...got first win vs. Cal State Northride (2/7), striking out nine with no runs and just one walk in 7.0 innings...also gave up no runs and no walks while striking out four in 8.0 innings for win No. 2 vs. Florida International (2/13)...put together 23.1 consecutive innings without an earned run for a large part of the beginning of the season (2/7-2/20)...had two complete game shutouts during the season, vs. San Francisco (2/28), giving up just six hits and one walk with four strikeouts, and vs. Nevada (4/29), giving up just three hits with eight strikeouts...pitched a 7.0 inning outing in the Rainbow Baseball Tournament vs. the Citadel (3/4), giving up just four hits, two runs and one walk while striking out seven to earn him Tournament Most Outstanding Pitcher honors.

2003 (Sophomore): Played in 15 games, starting 13...pitched two of UH's four complete games...finished the year with 47 strikeouts and just seven walks...was named to the Easter Tournament All-Tournament Team...threw just 75 pitches in a complete-game victory over Western

Played in 16 games, starting 13...pitched two of UH's four complete games...ended the season with a 1-9 record and a 5.79 era while striking out 54 batters and walking just 14...pitched 8.0 innings, giving up just two earned runs in his victory over Lewis-Clark State (3/31) in the Easter Tournament...had a season-high seven strikeouts vs. Sacramento State (2/10)...gave up just five hits and one earned run in a complete game loss at Louisiana Tech (4/15)...finished second on the team with 87.0 innings pitched.
