Appeared in 12 games, all in relief…finished his first season at UH 0-2 with a 4.98 ERA…recorded 12 strikeouts in 21.2 innings while picking up one save…went 1.1 scoreless innings in his debut on opening weekend against NC State (February 17)…struck out two with two walks in two shutout innings of a 6-3 win over Sacred Heart (March 9)…earned first career save, pitching 2.1 innings with three strikeouts to secure a one-run victory over San Jose State (March 24)…pitched 2.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts in a win over UC Santa Barbara (March 24).
Prior To UH: Played two seasons at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, California…named to the 2016 All-Big 8 Conference second team as a sophomore, registering a 2-5 record and 4.91 ERA in 14 starts (15 appearances), with 48 strikeouts in 69.2 innings…went 5-3 in 20 appearances (11 starts) as a freshman, striking out 44 in 68.2 innings…played at Cosumnes with current UH teammate Alex Fitchett.
Prep: A 2014 graduate of Tokay High School (Calif.), playing two seasons of varsity baseball…aided the Tigers to consecutive Tri-City Athletic League (TCAL) Championships (2013-14)… logged a 9-2 record in 11 appearances as a senior, with an ERA of 2.36, and 44 strikeouts in 65.1 innings…named to the Stockton Record All-Area Team as a senior in 2014…competed in the 2014 U17 USA Baseball National Team Identification Series Prospect Games in Sacramento…went 2-0 through nine games as a junior, recording 16 strikeouts in 26 innings…was the ace on the Tokay freshman-sophomore team in 2012, registering a 1.53 ERA and 8-2 record.
