Appeared in eight games, making six starts at designated hitter…drove in two runs with one double while hitting .167…delivered a two-run double off the bench against UC Davis on April 22…finished 1-for-3 with a run scored in a win over Cal State Fullerton (May 6)…singled and scored the go-ahead run in a win vs. UC Irvine (May 12).
2016 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Appeared in 27 games, starting 25 at either designated hitter or catcher…hit .228 with four doubles, 10 RBI, and nine runs scored…finished in a tie for third on the team with three stolen bases…threw out 3-of-8 base stealers and did not commit an error all season…went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two runs in a game at UH-Hilo (Feb. 14)…hit safely in 18-of-27 games played, including a seven game hit streak from April 25-May 20…had back-to-back two RBI games in the conference opening series versus UC Irvine (April 1-2)...named to the Big West All-Academic Team.
2015 (Redshirt Freshman):
Played 47 games in his rookie season at Hawai‘i, starting 46 behind the plate for the ‘Bows as the primary catcher…ranked fourth on the team with a .260 batting average, tying for the team lead with nine (9) doubles, taking 15 bases on balls and reaching seventimes as a hit batter…recorded a team second-best .351 on-base percentage...logged 16 RBI and 21 runs scored…Successfully stole base in 2-of-2 attempts…tallied 294 putouts with a team third-most 39 assists, registering a .982 fielding percentage…was second in hitting against Big West opponents, with a .304 average in conference play…got hot at the plate in the second BWC series, against UC Davis (April 2), and staying hot with a .316 average over the final 23 games…made his first collegiate start in the season opener against No. 15 Oregon (Feb. 13), collecting his first hit and RBI the next night against the Ducks…had his biggest-hitting night against UC Davis (April 3), going 3-for-4 with a double, season-best three RBI and two runs…Hit a double in three straight games against UC Davis…went a perfect 3-for-3 at Cal Poly (May 12), collecting one RBI and one run…tallied a season-high three runs at UC Riverside (May 9) on 2-for-3 hitting…recorded eight multi-hit games on the season…built a hitting streak of six games in early April, aiding a reached base streak of eight games.

Prep: A 2013 graduate of Hilo High School in Hilo, Hawai‘i…lettered in baseball and football…was part of the team that won the 2010 and 2013 Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) Championships, earning third place at the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) State tournament in 2012…named to the first team All-BIIF from 2009-12…batted over .400 in all four seasons of his high school career…named to the HHSAA Division II All-Tournament Team…Played for nine years for the Hilo All-Stars, and was a fixture with UH teammate Quintin Torres-Costa on the team that won the 2011 Senior League World Series in Bangor, Maine…batted .632 in the SLWS.
