Biography

2017 (Junior): Earned All-Big West honorable mention…started 49 games, hitting leadoff and playing center field in each contest…led the team in hitting, posting a .302 average, while totaling a team-high 61 hits…hit eight doubles and one triple with 23 RBI, finishing second on the team in runs scored (35)…finished sixth in the Big West Conference with a team-leading 12 stolen bases…reached base safely in 44 consecutive games – the second-longest in the NCAA at its end, and the longest of the Mike Trapasso coaching era…aiding the effort, reached base on balls 17 times, witch 10 trips as a hit batsman…went on a 10-game hitting streak from April 9-30, going 16-for-45 (.356) with five RBI and five runs scored in that span…turned in his first career three-hit game against Iowa (March 3) in the Dairy Queen Classic, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored…had a big day offensively in a win vs. Indiana (March 18), finishing 4-for-6 with a triple and three runs scored, including scoring the tying run in the ninth inning…recorded his second four-hit game against Cal Poly (April 8) with a 4-for-6 day, driving in one run while scoring two more…led the way offensively in a win over UC Davis (April 23), going 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored…drove in both the tying and go-ahead runs in the fifth inning of a win against Cal State Fullerton on May 6…led the team in multi-hit games with 18, including two four-hit games…committed just three errors all season to provide a steady defensive presence in center field…chalked up a pair of outfield assists, including a throw to the plate for a walk-off double play that appeared at No. 2 on SportsCenter’s Top Plays.

Prior To UH: Played two seasons at Bellevue College in Washington…during his freshman season (2015), was selected as a member of the Northwest All-Region first team and third team Rawlings All-American…led the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) in hitting that season as a first-team all-conference pick, hitting .395 with six doubles and a triple, stealing 12 bases with 28 runs scored…received the 2015 Bellevue Silver Bat Award…as a sophomore, hit a team-high .360, with 16 RBI and 18 runs on 31 hits and 12 walks…used his speed to collect 12 stolen bases…received NWAC Northern Region second-team honors as a sophomore…left BC with a .380 career average and 22 stolen bases...played alongside current UH teammates Jordan LaFave and Dominic DeMiero at BC.
 
Prep: Played three years of varsity baseball at Bainbridge High School in Washington…a two-time first-team all-Metro 3A selection, once receiving second-team honors…as a senior in 2014, batted .413 with 12 RBI…aided BHS to a 2013 Metro 3A Championship…a member of the BHS honor roll…played club ball for two years with Baden Baseball Club, hitting .361 with 57 RBI, as the team won six regional tournaments during his time.
