Biography

2003 (Senior): Started all 56 games...batted .288 with 41 runs and 32 RBI...had nine doubles, four triples, and four homeruns.

2002 (Junior)
: Started all 54 games he played in (3B-40, CF-10, DH-4)...hit a team-high .325 while leading the team in runs score (40), homers (3), walks (37) and stolen bases (17-for-19)...had an eight-game hitting streak (2/23-3/16)...went 12-for-14 in series vs. UCLA (2/15-17), earning conference and region player-of-the-week honors...had 18 multi-hit and six multi-RBI games...finished second in the conference in stolen bases and walks, while finishing 11th in battaing average...hit .515 vs. lefties and .289 vs. righties...hit a three-run homer in his final at bat of the season at Fresno State (5/26).

California
: As a redshirt freshman, he saw action in 29 games with 11 starts in left field and four starts in right field...batted .236 with two doubles and an RBI...top games included going 2-for-4 with a double versus Loyola Marymount (Feb. 6).

Prep: A 1998 graduate of Monte Vista High School in Danville, Calif., where he earned three varsity letter, in both baseball and football...in baseball, he went on to earn second team all-EBAL honors his sophomore season while selected to the first team squads in both his junior and senior seasons...batted .390 as a junior and stole 20 bases as a senior, helping his team to the 1998 North Coast Section title...played two years of American Legion baseball for the Danville Hooters, helping his team qualify for the American Legion World Series in Las Vegas, Nev., in the summer of 1998...in football, named to the first team all-EBAL squad his junior and senior seasons while being named team MVP and first team Contra Costa Times...led his summer baseball team to the NCA Championship in 1998.
