Biography

2007-08 (Sophomore): 3-meter (289.30) against Arizona State (Sept. 28)...won the 1-meter springboard (275.95) at Trojan Invitational...won the 1-meter (307.10) and 3-meter (300.30) events at UC Irvine Shootout...placed 2nd in 3-meter event at the Rainbow Diving Invitational (Jan. 18)...won the 1-meter diving final (309.80) at WAC Championships...finished third in the 3-meter final at the Zone E Qualifier to advance to the NCAA Championships...became the second diver in UH history to win an NCAA Championship, won the 1-meter springboard...finished in sixth place in the 3-meter event at NCAA Championships...named NCAA Tri-Diver of the Year.

2006-2007 (Freshman): Captured first place at the WAC Championship on the 1M...only freshman to win a diving event at the conference  championship...also placed second at the WAC on the 3M and 11th on the platform...finished second on the 1M  and fifth on the 3M springboard at the NCAA Zone E Diving Regional... qualified for the NCAA Championship where she finished 17th on the 1M and 21st on the 3M...won the Trojan Diving Invitational on the 1M and was fourth on the 3M...won the Lincoln Aquatics Shootout on the 1M and was second on the 3M...placed 4th on 1M at the Texas Diving Invitational...finished sixth on the 1M and eighth on the 3M at the Canadian Winter Nationals.

Prep: A 2006 graduate of Seycove Secondary School in North Vancouver, B.C., Canada...won the 1-meter at 2003 Canadian Junior Nationals...placed second on 1-meter at 2003 Canadian Senior Nationals...silver medalist in 3-meter synchronized diving at 2004 Junior World Championship...won the 1-meter and placed third on 3-meter at the 2005 Canada Games.

Personal: Born Oct. 11, 1988, in Vancouver, B.C., Canada...plans to major in kinesiology...has one brother and one sister...mother was a U.S. national champion diver at SMU, while father was a Canadian Olympic diver...parents are Christine Loock and Ron Friesen of North Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
