Relay Record Caps Off Big Weekend at Husky Classic

SEATTLE – Highlighted by a school record in the 4x400m relay, the Hawai'i women's track and field team capped off another strong weekend filled with program top 10s and conference-leading marks at the Husky Classic.

The Rainbow Wahine 4x400m relay squad of Isabella Kneeshaw, Amy Warrington, Sammie Gordon and Alyssa Mae Antolin capped off the meet by lowering the school record by just under four seconds with a 3:43.95. They topped the old record of 3:47.93 set last year and ran the second-fastest time ever by a UH relay team in the event, indoor or outdoor.

Warrington led off the relay in 56.9 seconds before handing off the baton to Antolin who clocked a 56.5 for her leg. Gordon then ran a blistering 54.9 on the third leg before Kneeshaw brought it home with an anchor leg of 55.2.

Kneeshaw continued her strong debut indoor season with a win in the 400m dash by posting another PR. The freshman ran a 55.87 to move up to second on the UH indoor top 10 list while becoming only the second Rainbow Wahine to run a sub-56 second indoor 400m. Kneeshaw began the day with another personal best, running a 7.69 in the 60m prelims to better he already fourth-best time in school history.

The Rainbow Wahine throwers enjoyed a productive day in the shot put, claiming the No. 4-6 spots in the event. Samaria Vital led the way with a toss of 13.63m (44-8.75) while Hallee Mohr PR'd in fifth place with a mark of 13.60m (44-7.5) to bump up her No. 10 all-time performance in school history. After setting a PR in the high jump Friday, Lilian Turban capped off her 2024 indoor debut with a shot put personal best of 13.29m (43-7.25) to come in sixth.

Emilie Kirk Langschwager posted her second new UH top 10 time of the weekend with a time of 5:04.84 in the mile to move up to eighth in program history. Keilah Wilkes finished close behind with an indoor mile PR time of 5:07.88, topping her previous best by six seconds.
