2026 Track & Field Season in Review

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • Matched the program's best-ever indoor conference championship finish with a runner-up at the MPSF Championships.
  • Fifth consecutive year that the Rainbow Wahine have placed in the top four of the MPSF Championships.
  • Four athletes qualified for the NCAA First Round for the second consecutive year - no more than three had qualified in any of the previous eight seasons prior to that dating back to 2016.
  • Set a total of five new program records and posted 55 new school top 10 marks between the indoor and outdoor seasons.
  • Lilian Turban took home Big West Outdoor Championships Athlete of the Meet honors for the second consecutive year after totaling 16 points between the high jump, javelin and shot put.
  • Claimed four individual titles at the MPSF Indoor Championships (Turban – high jump, shot put, Tara Wyllie – triple jump, Ava Enriquez – pole vault).

The Rainbow Wahine sent Lilian Turban (high jump and javelin), Robyn Larkan (100m hurdles), Samaria Vital (discus), and Tara Wyllie (triple jump) to Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete in the NCAA First Round.

BIG WEST CHAMPIONSHIP HONORS

Lilian Turban was named the Big West Championship Field Athlete of the Meet for the second consecutive year.

RECORDS ON REPEAT

Isabella Kneeshaw set school records as she broke her own indoor 400m record three times this season.

Catherine Touchette lowered the program 600m record with the time of 1:29.86.

Robyn Larkan set a school record in the 60m hurdles, and broke both an 18 year record, and her own record in the 100m hurdles.

Tara Wyllie set a school record in the triple jump to win her third consecutive MPSF title.

 

MPSF INDVIDUAL CHAMPIONS

Matched the program's best-ever indoor conference championship finish with a runner-up at the MPSF Championships.

Ava Enriques won a jump off at 3.93m to earn UH's third consecutive win in pole vaulting.

Lilian Turban won her fourth consecutive MPSF high jump title and her second MPSF title for the shot put.

Tara Wyllie won her third consecutive triple jump title and set a school record with a jump of 13.08.
