HONOLULU—The No. 14/17 University of Hawai`i softball team (16-4) defeated Tokyo Women's College of Physical Education, 1-0 in an exhibition game on Thursday night. Pitcher Jenna Rodriguez went the distance, tossing a three-hit shut out at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

Rodriguez struck out eight batters and walked just one in the complete game win.

The 'Bows posted one run in the bottom of the first inning that held up for the victory. Tara Anguiano led off with a walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jasey Jensen. Anguiano then scooted to third on a ground out to the pitcher by Jazmine Zamora. Rodriguez then drew a walk to put runners at the corner for Jocelyn Enrique who came through with a single through the rightside of the infield to drive in Anguiano from third.

Hawai`i catcher Enrique led UH at the plate, going 2-for-3 with the RBI.
