Prior to UH:  Played two seasons for Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz…helped lead the Roughriders to their first ever National Junior College Athletic Association Championship in 2009…as a sophomore pitcher, she posted a 25-5 record with six shut-outs in 37 appearances, facing 705 batters in 174.0 innings with an ERA of 1.97…she walked just 26 batters while striking out 148 on the season…played in the outfield when not on the mound, leading Yavapai offensively with 19 home runs and 91 RBI; hit for a .489 average (93-for-190) with 45 runs scored, 15 doubles and a slugging percentage of .868…helped the Roughriders to a pair of conference titles (2008, ’09) and two NJCAA Regional appearances (2008, ’09)…in 2008 was named to the all-conference first team, voted Regions I’s Most Valuable Player, and was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s All-American second team…in 2009, named conference’s Batter of the Week three times, chosen all-conference first team, and voted a first-team NFCA JC All-American.

Prep:  A 2007 graduate of Arcadia High School in Arcadia, Calif…earned four letters in softball and two in volleyball…led the Apache softball team to a pair of conference championships in junior and senior seasons…earn all-conference honors in 2005, ’06, and ’07…named league’s Most Valuable Player 2006, ’07…voted team’s MVP 2005, ’06, and ’07…selected as Arcadia High School’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2007…a member of the club team, California Rage – Gold, from 2004-08.

 

Personal:  Born in Arcadia, Calif…majoring in communications…has one older brother and one older sister…parents are Larry and Shirley Rodriguez of Arcadia, Calif.
