Biography

2011 (Junior):  Did not play

2010 (Sophomore):  Appeared in 24 games…had a .250 batting average (1-for-4)… was mainly used as a pinch-runner scoring 13 runs overall… had one stolen base.

2009 (Freshman): Appeared in in 37 games with five starts in the outfield...primarily used as a pinch-runner...scored 11 runs overall...hit .118 (2-for-17) with an RBI and an on-base percentage of .286...first career hit came against No. 1 Alabama (2/21) during the Cathedral City Classic tournament...against Mount St. Mary's, scored and drove in first career runs.

Prep: A 2008 graduate of Phineas Banning HS in Wilmington, Calif…earned four letters in softball and three letters in volleyball…in softball received first team all-area and first team all-league recognition for four consecutive years…named leagues most valuable player in 2005, 2007…completed senior season batting .527…a member of the 16U National Championship team, the O.C. Batbusters in 2006.

Personal: Born in Torrance, Calif…major is undecided…has one brother and two sisters…parents are Sandra Tagab-Cruz and Daniel Cruz of Carson, Calif.
