2012 (Senior)
Appeared in 37 games with 32 starts as a senior...posted a 28-6 record with a career-best .824 win percentage with 30 complete games and a career-high 10 shut outs...she recorded 226.0 innings in the circle with 92 walks and 229 strike outs while holding opponents to a career-low .191 batting average....she leaves UH as the program's career record holder with 102 wins, 33 shut outs, 116 complete games, 164 appearances, 938.1 innings pitched, and 818 strike outs...became just the 10th Rainbow Wahine to earn National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America honors (second team) and the fourth UH player to be voted an Easton All-America twice in her career...became the first Rainbow Wahine softball player to be tabbed a Lowe's Senior CLASS Award finalist and was later named a Senior CLASS First-Team All-American in which the athlete must have notable achievements in four areas of excellence--community, classroom, character and competition...became the first Rainbow Wahine to ever be selected WAC Pitcher of the Year for a third time after going 12-1 with a 1.07 ERA in conference action with four shutouts and 12 complete games...earned all-WAC honors (first team) for the fourth season and was selected WAC Pitcher of the Week five times in 2012 with a career total of 12...closed out her career ranked in the top 10 in three different WAC career pitching categories--No. 2 in innings pitched (938.1); No. 3 in wins (102); and No. 5 in strikeouts (818)...fired a pair of no-hitters against San Jose State (March 24) and Fresno State (April 28) on senior day at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium bringing her career no-hitter total to six...tossed 10 innings to get the complete game victory over No. 1 California (March 15), 3-1 in thilling come-from-behind fashion with Ricketts holding the Golden Bears scoreless until the top of the 10th when she gave up an unearned run but she was able to strand 17 Cal baserunners while tying her season high with 12 strike outs...named a WAC Scholar-Athlete all four years and and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
2011 (Junior)
Appeared and started in 38 games with 30 complete games…posted a 22-11 record and had her best statistical season as a Rainbow Wahine with single-season bests in ERA (1.58), complete games (30), shut-outs (9), and strike outs (250) while holding opponents to a .193 batting average…broke former UH All-American Brooke Wilkins' 16-year old career strike out record with 589 Ks…also became just the second Rainbow Wahine to win at least 20 games in three consecutive seasons…for her career, Ricketts is now ranked second in the UH record books with 74 wins; third in appearances (127) and games started (107); fourth in innings pitched (712.1) and fifth in shut outs (23)…in conference action, recorded an 8-4 record with a 1.92 ERA in 87.2 innings pitched…fired 10 complete games with three shut-outs in 14 appearances…walked 25 batters while striking out 87 and held opponents to a .215 batting average…named WAC Pitcher of the Week twice (Feb. 14 and May 9)…became the first Hawai‘i pitcher to ever earn two WAC Pitcher of the Year awards…the only UH pitcher to have earned back-to-back conference top pitching honors was former All-American, Brooke Wilkins who won the award in 1994 and '95 when the Rainbow Wahine were members of the Big West…named an NFCA scholar-athlete for the second time after also receiving the award as a freshman…earned academic all-WAC honors for the third consecutive season… earned All-West Region honors for the third time in as many seasons…voted to the all-WAC first team for the second straight season…became just the 12th Rainbow Wahine to earn 2011 Easton All-American honors.
2010 (Sophomore)
Appeared in 46 games with 36 starts on the mound…had an outstanding season with a record of 30-10 overall and a 2.59 ERA… held opponents to a .237 batting average with 91 walks and 161 strike outs in 237.2 innings pitched…first collegiate hit was a home run against DePaul (3/13) as a pinch hitter...in WAC games, posted a perfect 13-0 record with a 1.55 ERA while holding opponents to a .191 batting average with 25 walks and 52 strike outs in 81.1 innings pitched…fired first career perfect game at Nevada (4/24) she got six fly-outs, seven ground-outs and two strikeouts in the five inning gem throwing just 53 pitches in the game to retire the minimum 15 batters...struck out a season-high 11 batters against Louisiana Tech (4/16) in a 3-1 victory...became the fourth Hawai`i pitcher ever to be voted WAC Pitcher of the Year...earned WAC Pitcher of the Week honors three times (3/8, 3/29, 4/6), first team All-WAC honors, and second team All-West Region honors...earned academic all-WAC and UH scholar-athlete honors for second year in a row.
2009 (Freshman):
Appeared in 43 games with 30 starts on the mound, with a record of 22-11 overall and a 1.78 ERA...held teams to a .195 batting average with 48 walks and 178 strike outs in 239.2 innings pitched...completed 27-of-30 games and had a streak of 16 complete games from 3/11-4/24...fired two no-hitters against conference opponents: Louisiana Tech (3/21) and Boise State (5/1) and a total of five one-hitters...became just the fifth pitcher in UH history to win over 20 games in a season...is fifth in single-season, school history with 178 strike outs and 239.2 innings pitched...in WAC games, was 13-4 with a 1.77 ERA in 118.1 innings pitched...appeared in 19 of UH's 21 games with 14 complete games in 15 starts...held WAC foes to a .188 batting average with 20 walks and 69 strike outs...fired a career-high 12.1 innings in relief during UH's marathon 16-inning, 7-4 win over No. 22 Fresno State...earned two WAC Pitcher of the Week awards after the Louisiana Tech and Boise State series...named 2009 WAC Freshman of the Year and selected as the All-WAC second team pitcher...also named to the academic all-WAC freshmen/transfer team while also earning UH Scholar-Athlete honors.
Prep: A 2008 graduate of Archbishop Mitty HS in San Jose, Calif...earned two varsity letters in softball and three in basketball...helped lead the Monarchs to the back-to-back division and conference championships in softball...earned division and conference first team honors as a senior and was named to the San Francisco Chronicle's all-metro second team...in basketball, the Monarchs are the three time division and conference defending champion as well as the 2007 and 08 state champions...played for the San Jose Sting club team which finished ninth at the 16U ASA Nationals and seventh in the 18U ASA Gold Nationals...an honor-roll student three years.
Personal: Born in San Jose, Calif...is a psychology major...has one brother and two sisters...older brother Richard is a defensive end on the Air Force Academy's football team and older sister Samantha is an All-American, first baseman for the Oklahoma Sooners...parents are Carol and Jeff Ricketts of San Jose, Calif.
