2017 (Junior):
Made eight appearances, all in relief…posted an ERA of 3.18 in 5.2 innings pitched with two strikeouts…went 1.2 shutout innings, giving up one hit while striking out one in his first UH appearance, facing NC State (Feb. 19)…came in and got a big out to strand two runners and maintain a one-run lead in the eighth inning of a win over Sacred Heart (March 12)...made his longest appearance of the season in the first game of the UC Santa Barbara Series (May 25), tossing 2.1 innings, allowing two hits and one run.
Prior to UH: Played two seasons at Santa Rosa JC in Santa Rosa, Calif…during his sophomore season, pitched 73.0 innings, earning a 8-1 record, 2.96 ERA and 49 strikeouts, holding opponents to .219 batting…helped the Bear Cubs to the 2016 CCCAA State Championship crown…as a freshman, went 2-2 with a 3.52 ERA as a reliever…redshirted his first year at SRJC.
Prep: A 2013 graduate of Vintage HS, where he played four years of baseball and basketball, as well as two years of football…a two-time all- Monticello Empire League honoree for baseball…batted .402 as a senior, with 26 RBI and 20 runs, a .621 slugging percentage and .462 on-base percentage…that season, registered nine doubles, three triples and a home run…on the mound as a senior, recorded a 3.36 ERA with a 1-3 record in nine appearances…went 3-2 with a 2.95 ERA as a junior...also as a junior, hit .377 with 28 RBI, 27 runs, five doubles, five triples and three home runs, notching a .467 on-base percentage.
Personal: Born in Napa, Calif…majoring in Sociology…has two older brothers…parents are Rick and Nancy Estes of Napa, Calif.
