Biography

2010-11 (Senior): Helped the Warriors win their first Conference USA Invitational (Feb. 23-26) championship title...swam three events…broke personal bests in the 400 IM (4:01.20) and 200 butterfly (1:51.42) after taking fifth and seventh, respectively…also took fifth in the 1650 freestyle (15:55.32)…broke three personal bests at the Arena Invitational (Nov. 18-20) in the 500 freestyle (4:37.85), 1000 freestyle (9:33.83), and 1650 freestyle (15:48.62)…won the 1000 freestyle (9:39.34) in a dual meet against Seattle (Oct. 15-16) and again against Wisconsin (Jan. 8) with a time of 9:34.45…holds the team’s top time in the 1000 freestyle.

2009-10 (Junior): Won the 1650 freestyle (15:53.37) at the Conference USA Championships (Feb. 24-27)…also earned a personal best after placing 11th in the 200 butterfly (1:51.66)…placed third in the 1650 free (16:39.50) against Wisconsin (Jan. 9)…earned a personal best after finishing seventh in the 1650 free (15:47.37) at the Toshiba Classic (Nov. 19-21)…swam against Stanford (Oct. 10) and finished fourth in the 200 fly (1:55.44)…placed second in the 1000 free (9:44.50) against California (Oct. 9).

2008-09 (Sophomore): Participated in the Husky Invitational (Dec. 5-7) and finished 37th in the 100 butterfly (51.69).

2007-08 (Freshman): Finished second in the 200 yard fly (1:55.58)against Arizona State (Sept. 28)...placed fourth in the 200 fly (1:54.04) at the Big West Shootout...recorded third best time on the team in the 100 fly (51.16).

Prep: A 2007 graduate of Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis, Ore...lettered four years in swimming under head coach Rex Watkins...also earned one letter in track...team won the 2007 state swimming title.

Personal: Born in Corvallis, Ore...plans to major in kinesiology...has two brothers...parents are Laura and Mark Worden of Corvallis, Ore.
