Biography

2011-12 (Senior): Holds the team’s top times in the 100 breast (55.33) and 200 breast (1:59.34)…swam three events at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 15)…finished fourth in the 200 breast (2:01.37) and sixth in the 100 breast (56.51)…was also part of the team that took third in the 200 medley relay (1:28.82)…also swam in the Arena Invitational (Nov. 17)…set three season-bests in the 100 breast, 200 breast, and 200 IM (1:52.06). 

2010-11 (Junior): Helped lead the Warriors to their first Conference USA Invitational (Feb. 23-26) championship title after swimming five events…was part of the team that won the 200 medley relay (1:28.43) and the team that took second in the 400 medley relay (3:15.88)…broke personal bests in all three individual events…finished second in the 200 breaststroke (1:58.78) and fifth in both the 100 breaststroke (55.16) and 200 IM (1:51.57) events…collected eight first-place finishes out of 15 top three or better finishes on the season…broke the pool record at UC San Diego in a tri-meet against Wyoming and UCSD (Jan. 28-29) after winning the 200 breaststroke (2:03.52)…holds the team’s top times in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Earned a personal best at the Conference USA Championship (Feb. 24-27) after finishing 10th in the 200 individual medley (1:52.81)…was also a part of the team that finished third in the 400 medley relay (1:33.94) and placed seventh in the 100 breaststroke (55.95)…won the 200 breast (2:05.84) against Wisconsin (Jan. 9) and was a part of the team that placed second in the 200 medley relay (1:33.94)…earned a personal best at the Toshiba Classic (Nov. 19-21) after finishing third in the 100 breast (55.73) and also placed third in the 200 breast (2:01.88) and was part of the team that placed second in the 200 medley relay (1:31.37)…finished second in the 200 breast (2:05.87) against Stanford (Oct. 10).

2008-09 (Freshman): Participated in the Big West Shootout (Nov. 7-8) and finished fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:09.81).

Prep: A 2008 graduate of Ballard High School in Seattle, Wash…lettered four years in swimming…holds two team records in 200 IM and 100 breaststroke…senior first team all-Kingco in 200 IM and 100 breast.
Personal: Born in Seattle, Wash…plans to major in business…has one older sister…parents are Denise and John Sharify of Seattle, Wash.
