Biography

2010-11 (Junior): Earned two personal bests at the Arena Invitational (Nov. 18-20)…finished 27th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.91 and 36th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.85…also swam in the Conference USA Invitational and earned a personal best of 1:55.03 in the 200 backstroke.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Recorded two personal bests at the Conference USA Championships (Feb. 24-27) taking sixth in the 200 backstroke (1:58.97) and 10th in the 100 back (52.44)…placed sixth in the 200 back (1:58.97) against Wisconsin (Jan. 9)…swam against Stanford (Oct. 10) and placed sixth in the 200 free (1:48.89) and in the 200 back (1:58.32)…was a part of the team that finished second in the 400 freestyle relay (3:11.92) against California (Oct. 9). 

2008-09 (Freshman): Part of a team that placed third in the 800-meter freestyle relay (6:37.23) at the Conference USA Championships (Feb. 25-28)…finished 23rd in the 100 backstroke (53.81) at the Husky Invitational (Dec. 5-7).


Prep: A 2008 graduate of College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, Calif.…earned four letters in swimming…named team MVP in 2006-07 and 2007-08…2008 NCS Champion in 200 free...all-league honors in 2006-07 and 2007-08…was an honor roll student.

 
Personal: Born in Berkeley, Calif.…plans to major in business…plays guitar and violin…is a professional surfer…has one older brother…parents are Erin and Stephen Dentone of Pleasant Hill, Calif.
