2017 (Senior): Appeared in 48 games, starting 43 in the UH outfield…hit .270 while tying for the team lead of five home runs…hit 11 doubles with 25 RBI and 26 runs scored…named the Big West Player of the Week on March 6 after going 8-for-16 (.500) with two home runs, two doubles, a triple and four RBI at the Dairy Queen Classic…went on a nine-game hitting streak from April 8 to April 23, going 12-for-33 (.364) with two home runs, three doubles, seven RBI and seven runs scored in that stretch against Cal Poly, UC Riverside and UC Davis…hit first career home run against Iowa on March 3 with a fifth inning solo shot…had a career day versus Indiana (March 18), going 3-for-4 with a double and a career-high four RBI in the win…matched a career high with three runs scored, going 2-for-2 with a double in a win at UC Riverside (April 13)…homered in consecutive games against UC Riverside (April 14-15)…went 3-for-4 with a home run at Long Beach State (May 19)…finished tied for second on the team with six multiple-RBI games, while totaling 12 multi-hit games, including four three-hit outings.
2016 (Junior): Appeared in 43 games, starting 38 primarily in right field…batted .234 with 13 RBI and 12 runs scored…finished tied for fifth on the team in doubles with seven and tied for third in triples with two…was hit by a team-leading seven pitches and ended the season tied for third in stolen bases with three…hit safely in nine straight games from 4/1-4/17, hitting .375 (12-for-32) in that stretch…went 4-for-11 with two RBI and a double and triple in a series versus Cal Poly (April 15-17)…hit a double in all three games of a series versus San Francisco (Feb. 26-28), along with four RBI…walked three times in his first appearance as a Rainbow Warrior versus New Mexico (Feb. 19).
Prior to UH: Played one season at Cosumnes River College...batted .354 with three home runs, 8 doubles, four triples, 37 RBI, 29 runs scored, and six stolen bases at CRC...He was named team MVP, and earned first-team all-Big 8 Conference honors...pitched nine innings for CRC…before CRC, played the 2013 season as a freshman at Sacramento State, appearing in four games with one start as a pitcher...held an opponent batting average of just .167, giving two hits with three strikeouts, seven walks, and four hit batters...made his first career NCAA start at Saint Mary's (3/19/12)...had scoreless outings against UC Santa Barbara and CSU Bakersfield…redshirted as a sophomore at SSU in 2014...played at Cosumnes with current UH teammate Matt Richardson.
Prep: A 2012 graduate of Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, Calif., where he was a four-year letterman in baseball… as a Senior, batted .283, with one home run, four doubles, two triples, 14 RBI, 15 runs scored, and seven stolen bases…also pitched 45 innings and posted a 5-3 record with a 3.73 ERA and 56 strike outs…for his efforts, he earned named all-Delta River League honors as a senior…posted a 2-1 record in four starts as a junior with a 4.79 ERA and 26 strikeouts.
Personal: Born in Folsom, Calif…graduated in Spring 2017 with his Bachelor of Arts in Communicology…has an older brother…Parents are Gabrielle and David Fitchett of El Dorado Hills, Calif.
