2002 (Freshman): Explosive striker completed record-breaking freshman campaign by setting or tying eight school records, three freshman records, and four conference records...appeared in 17 games, starting 16...named WAC Player and Freshman-of-the-Year, as well as first-team all-WAC after setting records in points (23), goals scored (10), shots in a season (49) and match (13)...also led the WAC in goals per game (1.25) and GW goals (4), ...named to Soccer Buzz Freshman All-American third-team, as well as Freshman All-West Region First Team...recorded two hat tricks against Tulsa (Oct. 11) and Boise State (Oct. 25), both in conference play...named WAC Offensive Player-of-the-Week three times (Sep. 5, Oct. 14, Oct. 28)...first Wahine named to Soccer Buzz National Team of the Week (Oct. 29) after scoring five goals in two games during WAC play...netted golden goal against Wyoming (Sep. 1), Tulsa (Oct. 11), Boise State (Oct. 25), Nevada (Oct. 27), and Fresno State (Nov. 3)...when on scoring binge in last four regular season matches (Oct. 25 to Nov. 3), tallying 16 offensive points on 7 goals and two assists...took 105 shots, 52 on goal.

Prep: A 2001 graduate of Kahuku High School in Kahuku, Oahu...perhaps the top female high school athlete in the state...earned four letters each in soccer and track, two in volleyball and one each in basketball and cross country...a two-time Oahu Interscholastic Association soccer all-star...earned all-state and Gatorade Player of the Year honors her senior season...led the Red Raiders to the division title her senior season, the first title in the school's history...played for the Hawai'i State Olympic Development Program team...was selected as a holdover for the Regional squad....voted to the OIA-East first-team in volleyball her senior season and earned OIA first-team and state second-team honors in basketball her senior season...a two-time state champion and record holder in the 300 hurdles... also captured state titles in the 110 hurdles, high jump and long jump...an honor roll student.

Personal: Born May 22, 1983, in Kahuku, Oahu...nickname is "Tasha"...one of the state's most recruited athletes...chose Hawai'i to remain close to home and play in front of her family...enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends and watching MTV...biggest athletic thrill was winning the OIA East soccer title...has three younger brothers and two younger sisters...parents are Sharon and Benny Kai of Kahuku, Oahu.
