Biography

2010-11 (Senior): Finished in the top five for all seven events swam at the Western Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 23-26)… led the teams that took second in the 800 freestyle relay (7:17.72) and 400 freestyle relay (3:21.02)…also part of the teams that finished third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.44) and fifth in the 200 medley relay (1:42.63)…earned a personal best in the 50 freestyle preliminaries (23.05) but finished 4th in the finals with a time of 23.09…also earned personal bests after taking third in the 100 freestyle (49.96) and 200 freestyle (1:48.72)…opened the season with five first-place finishes against Seattle (Oct. 15-16)…holds the team’s top time in the 50 freestyle (23.05), 100 freestyle (49.96), and 200 freestyle (1:48.72).

2009-10 (Junior): Had a personal best at the WAC Championships (Feb. 24-27) after finishing sixth in the 200 freestyle (1:51.87)…also was a part of the team that placed third in the 800 free relay (7:29.18)…won the 200 free (1:53.79) against Loyola Marymount (Nov. 15) and finished third in the 100 free (53.59)…earned two personal bests in the 100 free (52.09) and 50 free (23.73) at the Toshiba Classic (Nov. 19-21)…swam in the WAC Shootout (Oct. 9-10) and was part of the team that won the 200 free relay (1:36.45)…also placed second in the 100 free (52.66) and 200 free (1:52.45).


2008-09 (Sophomore): Part of the teams that won in the 800 Meter Freestyle Relay (7:17.76) and the 200 Meter Freestyle Relay (1:32.91) and one that placed third in the 400 Meter Freestyle Relay (3:23.91) at the WAC Championships (Feb. 25-28)…took fourth place in the 200 Meter Freestyle event (1:50.28) on the fourth day of the championships.

2007-08 (Freshman): Part of a team that finished second in the 400 Meter Freestyle Relay against Arizona State (Sept. 29)...was sixth in the 100 free event (53.56) at the UC Irvine Shootout...finished first in the 400 Yard Freestyle Team Relay and second in the 400 Yard Medley Team Relay against Oregon State (Dec. 19).


Prep: A 2007 graduate of Chico Senior High School in California...earned four letters in swimming for coach Jim Aird...was an all-sectional performer...a member of the student government and Irish Step Dance.

Personal: Born in Milwaukee, Wis...plans to major in environmental plant protection sciences...has one older sister...parents are Judith Rodby and Tom Barrett, both of Chico, Calif.
