2011-12 (Junior): Recorded two new personal bests at the Arena Invitational (Nov. 17) in the 50 freestyle (25.93) and 100 breaststroke (59.48)…finished 9^th in the 100 butterfly (55.91) at the WAC Championships (Feb. 22) and 10^th in the 200 butterfly (2:06.30)…was also part of the team that finished 4^th in the 200 medley relay (1:42.35) 

2010-11 (Sophomore): Swam in five events at the Western Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 23-26)…earned personal bests in all three individual events there…finished seventh in the 100 butterfly (55.69), ninth in the 200 butterfly (2:04.33), and 10^th in the 100 backstroke (57.56)…was also part of the teams that took third in the 400 medley relay (3:42.36) and fifth in the 200 medley relay (1:42.63)…won five out of six events to open the season against Seattle (Oct. 15-16)…also had a personal best in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:59.82...tallied nine top three finishes on the season…holds the team’s top times in the 100 and 200 butterfly.

Prep: A 2009 graduate of Presentation High School in San Jose, Calif…earned four letters in swimming…was a three-time scholastic all-American and a two-time all-American in the 100 fly and earned scholastic all-American honors…was a four-year member of Santa Clara swim club and part of the national team…swam one year for the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Personal: Born in San Jose, Calif…intends to major in nutrition…has one older sister...father is Darwin Takaki of San Jose, Calif.
