Biography

2001 (Junior): Started all 12 games at “X” receiver...finished third on the team in receiving yards (801) and receptions (55)...tallied a career-high 10 catches for a career-best 151 yards against Miami-Ohio (Nov. 17)...surpassed the century mark three times. 

2000 (Sophomore):
Started all 12 games at “X” receiver…finished second on the team in receptions (63) and receiving yards (795)…caught his first collegiate touchdown pass (29 yards) against Tulsa on Sept. 30…half of one of the most productive receiving tandems in the country (combined with Ashley Lelie for 137 catches and 1,905 yards)...led the team in receiving yards and receptions in three games...finished fifth in the WAC in receptions per game (5.25) and sixth in receiving yards per game (66.3)...caught for a career-high 124 yards on nine catches against Wisconsin on Nov. 25...surpassed the 100-yard mark in three games.

1999 (Freshman):
Played in seven games…caught two passes for seven yards…started as punt returner in the Jeep Oahu Bowl and had three returns for 24 yards against Oregon State. 

Prep:
A 1999 graduate of A. B. Miller High School in Fontana, Calif…a four-year letterman in track while earning three letters in football…John Tyree was both his football and track coach…an all-league and all-county selection…participated in the San Bernardino County All-Star game in football...track team won the 1999 championship...won the county championships as a member of the 4x100 relay team and in the 100-meter dash in both 1998 and 1999...also qualified for the state long jump championship...a member of the honor roll, California Scholastic Federation, and Black Student Union clubs.
