2003 (Senior): Appeared in and started 12 games at right end...amassed 48 tackles on the season (30 solo)...recorded two TFLs (-6), both sacks...finished third on the team in quarterback hurries with eight...also had one PBU at Louisiana Tech (Oct. 18)...posted a career-high nine tackles vs. UTEP, including one sack (-2) on Oct. 25...added two quarterback hurries vs. the Miners...got second sack of the season (-4) vs. Alabama (Nov. 29)...totaled five tackles and two quarterback hurries vs. the Crimson Tide...had seven tackles at UNLV (Sept. 19)....also had eight tackles against Houston in Sheraton Hawai‘i Bowl (Dec. 25)...played in the Hula Bowl Maui.

2002 (Junior): Played in all 11 games...started nine at right end...also saw time at tackle due to injuries on the defensive front...amassed 45 total tackles, including 13 for-a-loss (-53) and six sacks (-33)...tallied a career-high eight tackles against Alabama on Nov. 30...tied the school record with five tackles-for-loss (-13) against the Crimson Tide...also had five quarterback hurries on the season. 

2001 (Sophomore): Played in all 12 games and started two...compiled a season-high five tackles against Miami-Ohio on Nov. 17...forced a fumble at SMU on Oct. 6. 

2000 (Freshman): Played in nine games at defensive end...recorded 14 tackles on the season...tallied one tackle for-a-loss (-4) at UTEP on Sept. 23 in his first collegiate game...also had five hurries. 

Prep: A 2000 graduate of Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu...earned three letters in football ...named to The Honolulu Advertiser's Super 25 all-state team and ILH Defensive Player of the Year as a senior...also threw the shot-put on track team.

Personal: Born in Honolulu...has two brothers...both his brother and father played for the Warriors... parents are Audrey and Tui Ala of Makaha, Oahu.
